Accounts receivable · New York metro

You keep the relationship.
We make the ask.

Most unpaid invoices aren't disputes. They're oversights, usually on both sides. We do the follow-up so you're not the one making the call.

Nothing is due until you're paid. We'll review what's open at no charge and tell you what's realistically collectible before you commit to anything.

A typical aging report from a business that has never had anyone whose job it is to follow up.

The situation

The money isn't in dispute. Nobody asked for it.

The invoice went out. Something came up. Nobody followed up, and now it's been five months and the conversation feels heavier than the number.

Meanwhile you're carrying it. The work is done, the goods shipped, the payroll ran. The only thing missing is the ask — and the reason it's missing is usually that you know the person.

That's the entire job. We're the neutral party who can raise it without it costing you anything on the other side of the table.

What we do

Two ways to work together.

Most clients use both — one keeps new invoices from aging, the other cleans up what already has.

Monthly · ongoing

Receivables management

We run your AR the way a finance department would, for businesses that have never had one.

  • Invoices and statements out on a fixed cycle
  • An aging report you can actually read
  • Structured follow-up starting well before an account gets old
  • Monthly reconciliation, reviewed with you
About receivables management

90 days and over · contingency

Recovery

For accounts that already slipped. We work them individually, you pay nothing upfront, and nothing at all unless money comes in.

  • Documentation reviewed before we make any contact
  • Payment plans where the balance warrants one
  • Beis din or counsel referral if a file needs to escalate
  • Rate set by the age of the account when you place it
About recovery

How it works

Four steps, in order.

01

Send us your aging

Whatever form it's in. A report, a spreadsheet, a stack of invoices. We'll go through it and tell you what's collectible, what's borderline, and what you should write off. There's no charge for this and no obligation after it.

02

Agree the scope in writing

Which accounts, which service, what it costs. Signed before we touch anything, so there's never a question later about what you owe us or why.

03

We make contact

In your name, as your accounts receivable department, in a tone you'd be comfortable standing behind. You see the correspondence. Nothing goes out that you wouldn't send yourself.

04

You get paid

Collected funds go into a separate trust account, never our operating account, and out to you on a fixed schedule with a reconciliation you can check line by line.

Boundaries

What we don't do.

This matters more than anything above it. You're handing us your customer list. Here's what we will never do with it.

We don't sue anyone

A collection agency can't file suit on a client's behalf. If a file needs more than we can do, it goes to a beis din or to counsel — and that's your decision, not ours.

We don't threaten

No credit reporting warnings, no legal action we have no standing to take, nothing we wouldn't say to someone across a table.

We contact the debtor. Nobody else.

Not their customers, not their suppliers, not anyone who happens to know them. Third-party pressure isn't a tactic we use.

We don't take files we can't win

If the paperwork isn't there or the account is past its limitations period, we say so up front rather than billing you while we find out.

Read how we work

How we operate

Built for how this market actually works.

Discretion is the product

Files are never discussed across clients. Who pays slowly and who doesn't is information we hold, not information we trade. In a community this connected, that isn't a policy — it's the whole business.

Escalation that fits

When a file needs to go further, beis din is usually the right room. Properly documented as arbitration, an award is confirmable in New York courts and carries the same enforcement weight as a judgment.

We know the calendar

No calls erev Shabbos or chol hamoed. Follow-up cadence is planned around Yom Tov rather than interrupted by it, which is also simply more effective.

Conflicts, disclosed

If we're working for someone on one file, we'll tell you before we work against them on another. You decide whether you're comfortable, and we'll decline the file if you're not.

Pricing

Nothing is due until you're paid.

Past-due files cost you nothing upfront and nothing at all if we don't collect. The monthly service is separate, and it's for businesses that want the problem to stop recurring.

Past-due files · 90 days and over

Contingency only

A percentage of what we actually recover, stepping up with the age of the account when you place it. No placement fee, no monthly minimum, no charge on anything we fail to collect. Third-party costs like beis din fees are approved by you in advance and never charged without it.

Monthly retainer

We become your accounts receivable department: statements out on a cycle, aging maintained, follow-up starting long before anything gets old. Priced on how many active accounts we're carrying, not on how much comes in. Most clients start on contingency and move here once they see how much never had to age in the first place.

Questions

The ones we get asked first.

Will this make things awkward with my customer?

That's the specific problem we exist to solve. When a business calls about its own invoice, it's personal. When accounts receivable calls, it's process. The customer usually pays and the relationship stays exactly where it was — in a lot of cases it improves, because the thing everyone was quietly avoiding is finally handled.

Do you buy debt?

No. We never take ownership of your accounts. We work them as your agent, which means the money is yours from the moment it's collected and you keep full control over how each file is handled.

What if the customer says the invoice is wrong?

We stop and hand it back to you with everything we learned. A genuine dispute is between you and your customer, and we're not the right party to settle it. We'll flag it fast so you can deal with it while it's still small.

How quickly do I see the money?

Collected funds sit in a separate trust account and remit on a fixed schedule agreed in your engagement letter, with a reconciliation attached each time. We don't hold funds against future fees.

How old is too old?

It depends on the state and what you sold. New York gives six years on a breach of contract claim but only four on a straight sale of goods, and New Jersey and Connecticut differ again. We check this at intake and tell you if an account is past the point of being worth working.

Get started

Send us what's open.

We'll go through it and come back with a straight read: what's collectible, what isn't, and what we'd charge to work it. No cost, and no follow-up if you decide against it.

If you'd rather just talk it through first, say so and we'll call.

The form will route to both partners once the secure delivery endpoint is confirmed.

Do not include client, debtor, invoice, or account details in this general inquiry form. Use the secure application for a commercial account placement.
